Description
This database was prepared as part of the Cultural History component of the Taste of Plate / Palate Project undertaken by the VT Agency of Agriculture in 2010. It is intended to provide researchers and others interested in the history of Vermont’s food traditions with a comprehensive overview of the secondary literature on this topic. It includes sources on Vermont agriculture, some diaries and memoirs which involve discussion of food traditions, some cookbooks by older Vermonters, and literature on New England’s food traditions.
